Bakuchiol: Say it with us ‘baa-coo-chee-ol’. Hailed as a ‘vegan alternative to retinol’, it’s been found in research to have similar anti-ageing effects on the skin as vitamin A. It effectively helps to soften wrinkles and fine lines, improve skin firmness and smoothness. Gold star for Bakuchiol.
Mushroom extract: Specifically ‘snow mushroom’, this provides excellent hydration to the skin by drawing water to its surface and holding onto it for dear life. Hydrated skin = plump skin = firmer-looking skin.
Shea butter: Really great for dry skin as it’s so soothing and moisturising. It’s packed full of vitamin E, which is a great antioxidant that protects skin from daily damage.

Bakuchiol: Pronounced “baa-coo-chee-ol”, this excellent herb is an anti-ageing ingredient that has been compared to vitamin A in its anti-ageing powers. It helps to firm and smooth skin and battle uneven tone. It’s a bit of a wonder ingredient.
Sodium Hyaluronate: You may have heard of hyaluronic acid. Well, sodium hyaluronate is a close relative. It has a smaller molecular size so that it can get deeper into skin and deliver hydration along the way. It attracts water to itself and holds onto it, so you’ll feel super moisturised all night long.
Mandelic Acid: This is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), which basically means it exfoliates using its chemical power rather than with particles like you might be used to in a typical men’s face scrub. It’s a great anti-ageing ingredient because it breaks down the bonds between skin cells so that they can be easily exfoliated away, renewing the skin’s surface and helping to clear out pores. It’s one of the most gentle AHA’s out there, so if you’ve got sensitive skin you can still use it. Nice one.
Centella Asiatica: Also known as Tiger Grass or Gotu Kola, Centella Asiatica is a herb that has been used for centuries across Asia for its wound healing powers. It’s used in skincare for its calming and soothing techniques. This clever plant is great for hydration, combatting signs of ageing, and boosting your skin's natural protective barrier.
