WHO ARE WAR PAINT?
Well, where do we start?
Our ethos is to break the stigma that makeup is solely for women. We're about making men feel comfortable to shout about wearing makeup
So, every company has a unique selling point. We’re pretty proud to have multiple factors that make us not only different, but pretty darn special in the makeup industry.
Our Founder spent days, weeks, months, obsessing over testing for our products. Daniel wanted a product that not only sit’s well on the skin but feels right as well.
A formulation that is easy to apply, is light to the touch and weightless on your skin. Not only the formula of the products being important, but making sure the applicators, bottles, and packaging are as on the mark as possible.
Starting with the formula, it’s created specifically for men and would you believe that this ISN’T a myth!
There is actually a difference between men and women’s skin. Ranging from men having 25% thicker skin to testosterone producing more sebum increasing the oil produced.
The science behind the magic:
• Vitamin-E, this is a natural protection from UV rays as men's skin is naturally more prone to damage from UV rays which increases signs of ageing skin.
• Tea Tree Leaf Oil, this is excellent for acne prone skin and has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, both of which can help fight acne and improve the condition.
• BHA which works on the skin's surface and inside the pores to reduce blackheads and prevent spots.
As well as the ingredients, it’s all in the way you cook them together. Produced in the UK means that quality checks are managed accurately, and workers in the factory are treated fairly and paid to a high standard.
BEING VEGAN & CRUELTY FREE...
Being Vegan was also an important factor in the manufacturing process.
Vegan means less ingredients such as Uric Acid extracted from cows, dead insect extracts and lanolin oil from sheep’s wool which produces a far more superior product that’s perfectly suited for sensitive skin.
And why stop there, let’s throw in being Cruelty Free also. Have you ever seen the inhumane tests they carry out on incarcerated animals?
Here’s a quick summary of “The Draize Eye Test” that some beauty companies use to evaluate irritation by shampoo’s etc...It involves rabbits being incapacitated in stocks with their eyelids held open by clips, sometimes for multiple days, so they cannot blink away the products being tested.
Stuff of nightmares.
